Putting On The Wedding Dress

When you choose your wedding dress.. Did you think about how you will put it on? Did you know who will actually be helping you with it? Were you sure that someone would know how to lace the back of the dress? Or maybe this thought never came to your mind while you were admiring yourself in the mirror? Well, those questions are important. And if you didn't think about this yet, then this is very good time to think and talk with people around you. The thing is , that the more complicated and bigger the dress is, the more help you will need. On my wedding day i needed both my mom and my sister to help with putting the dress on, as otherwise my hair and makeup wouldn't survive the journey :)

Where are we going now :)

Sorry for not writing for some time now. Our wedding is on its way ( under 3 weeks now ! ) and I'm in a little panic trying to make the last most important decisions. So far my bachelorette party was last Saturday. I went normally to work and my bridesmaids came to pick me up from work. And honestly, i had NO idea at all that my bachelorette party would be then :) I had an awesome day! I will be posting some of the photos when i have them ^^ Anyway i think i had too much fan on Saturday and now got fever and am all sick.... Yep, for two years i haven't been sick once and now i am. But i guess better now than one day before our wedding day. Yeps, positive thinking no matter what :)

Today had a call that my groom's outfit came and he will need to go and try it on and check if it needs any changes and i will finally have my wedding shoes on Friday! Menu is almost 100 % now checked. So basically looking good right now:)

I will try to write more in my blog now that my stress level is going down and i can relax a little bit!

BTW. trying to find some dress for our after party.. And it is simply pain in the.... to find cute white and not too expensive dress.. Any ideas where to look withing 2 weeks time ? ^^

Bride Changing Mind ?

Do you ever have this feeling that everything is going all wrong ? I had really clear idea about how i will look on our wedding day.  No worries, no stress... At this particular moment there is a bit over a month time before the wedding day and suddenly everything goes upside down and now i feel huge doubts about everything. Well maybe not everything, but the hairstyle and hair accessories for sure. I paid good money for my hair accessory, so i just can't decide not to wear it - or can i ? Hairstyle changing is suppose to be easily done, but if i change it ... What kind of hairstyle will i have ? And should i try find new hairdresser or is the one i found already good enough ? I feel so confused. I don't want to look silly on my wedding day, i want to look fantastic!

Then i worn my wedding dress last time in November! What if it isn't as good looking on me as i remember it ? What if i will hate it ? What then ?

I think this doubts are because the wedding is getting so close and i know that if i want some changes to be done, i need to make them right now or it will be too late. Who would have guessed that i would want a perfect wedding day ?

Bridezilla time , huh ? :)

Bride with a Hair Crown

For some girls the dress, flowers, shoes, veil, jewelry are the most important part of their bridal look. For me...  that is my hairstyle. My grandmother always said that the hair is girl's crown. That we should care of the hair and keep it looking beautiful. Maybe this is silly, but that is how i feel...

As my hairdresser told me, usually brides will just go to a hairdresser and say " I want some kind of a bun for the wedding " and that's it. For me some kind of a bun isn't something i would want. I have a long hair and i feel that i should somehow show my hair in the best way it is possible and not just hide it.

Then again i always have some sort of a bun to every wedding i go too and even on a everyday basis, so on my wedding day i want to have something different and some sort of a WOW factor in it. I won't have too many hair decorations as i want my hair to be the main attention taker but still something nice and possibly shiny.

So now i am stressing badly.. I need and want the most beautiful hairstyle there is possible to have ! Talking about not expecting too much. Then every single time i go to a hairdresser i always feel disappointed afterwards. When in high school we had a dancing evening for which we needed to have beautiful hairstyles, my hairdresser was terrified from the amount and length of my hair.. ( and personally i think my hair isn't that long or that think, it's a normal amount). And in the end she made one ugly hairstyle which i could have made myself with my eyes closed! Huge disappoint! I really do not want this to happen on my wedding day. Good thing that the hairdresser i found right now didn't seem to be scared of my hair and sounded even excited to do something different than usually. So, so far i feel more or less confident that she will be able to make me look good.. As in the end that is what every bride wants...

I had a dream last night and my hair was perfect this time!!!  First ever dream about our wedding without everything going badly :)

And so that it won't be all about me me me, here is a crown braid hairstyle! <3

How important hairstyle is to you?

A pocket watch for the groom

I've been have a difficult time with making my fiance somehow participate in our wedding arrangements. Yes, i do have strong since of style and i know what i like and want for our wedding. But honestly i feel the wedding is ours and not my only. So yes, i want his opinion and his thoughts on what should we have.

He is like most of the Finnish men not very good in telling what he likes. Mostly i get answers like this :

"I don't know" "If you like " "Your choice" "You know the best" "I don't know"

I know many girls would be extremely happy if they could decide everything themselves.. But i really want him to enjoy and feel like it is his celebration as well and not my alone. He doesn't know it yet, but the jewelry i chosen for myself actually was chosen after showing him and getting a surprisingly strong response .. I heard him saying " Hmm.. that is nice looking!" Yes that was the strongest response I've ever heard said by him!!! So of course i knew from that moment i must get that jewelry! Yes i liked them as well but the feeling that they were just right in his mind as well, was even more important than my own.

So why am i saying this all ? Well.. i think i found one thing he would really enjoy wearing on our wedding day! That is a pocket watch! I hope i will find the right one and for not too high price and before our wedding day! I think he would look amazing with the pocket watch on his belt or a button of his vest! Something like this.

So i need to find a right looking pocket watch :) And no he doesn't know i am buying , but i've showed  him few photos and know what style he would like the most :)

Groom and Bestman: Choosing their Outfits

My fiance isn't very fond of any kind of party's with family and such. He likes to wear jeans, t-shirts and snickers . And that's basically all year long. So having to put something fancy for our wedding day is not something he is fond off.

Interesting thing is, that his brother, who is a best man as well, is a total opposite. He loves to dress in a nice way. And he actually want to wear super fancy outfit for our wedding :) As he says that's the only time a man can dress fancy. Basically best man wants a morning suit. Something like this:

And my fiance said he would put a black normal suit with no shiny fabric and in a dark colour. Something like this:

Personally i think they two should work it out together. I would love to see my fiance in a fancy outfit, but it should be his own choice and not my. It is not only my wedding in the end and he must have opportunity to decide what he will wear. The only thing i hope for is that he won't come in shorts, t-shirt and sandals to church! If he comes almost in anything else - i will be all happy happy joy joy :)

But anyway. This situation is actually very interesting. I expecting any day now that those two will go to search for something to wear. And i simply have 0 idea what will they get. :) Who's opinion will win ? Ohh, i so wish i could hear all those discussions this two will have while choosing their clothing!!!

I will be telling you how it goes and what those two will decide in the end !
