In love with Moonstone - Earrings

When you think about wedding jewelry - most will think about zircones ( as not many can afford diamond earrings, bracelets, tiaras and such) and lots of sparkle. And somehow we are forgetting about other incredible beautiful stones. I will try to introduce you to them and maybe just maybe you will find something different and even less expensive for your wedding day accessories.

I personally never was a huge of a sparkle girl. Don't understand me wrong, i do like shiny items but over the top bling bling isn't something i can't see myself wearing. So when i found moonstone i simply fall in love with it. It has this little shy feeling in it as from the first look it might just look like a milky stone, but when light hits it you can see the hidden magic of colours in it.

Only few gemstones have accumulated as much lore and romance as moonstone. This unusual gem with the distinctive milky shimmer has been known for thousands of years, and has been revered by many cultures. According to Hindu legend, moonstone was formed from moonbeams. At one time it was believed that if you held one in your mouth during a full moon, you can see your future. In India, moonstone is still regarded as a sacred stone and is widely believed to bring good fortune ( wouldn't you love to have some good fortune on your wedding day ? ). The ancient Romans also associated moonstone with the moon and speculated that the gem was formed from drops of moonlight. They considered the gemstones as possessing those properties traditionally associated with the moon: romance, femininity, intuition, dreams and the emotions.

All moonstones are not necessarily white. The most know moonstone is Rainbow Moonstone . It is white milky stone with all the colours of the rainbow shining through when the light hits the stone.

Star Moonstone  can look shine as a stunning star when the light hits it or even look like Cat's Eye

It can be difficult to think how this stones would look used in jewelry, so here are some moonstone earrings first :)

Bride Changing Mind ?

Do you ever have this feeling that everything is going all wrong ? I had really clear idea about how i will look on our wedding day.  No worries, no stress... At this particular moment there is a bit over a month time before the wedding day and suddenly everything goes upside down and now i feel huge doubts about everything. Well maybe not everything, but the hairstyle and hair accessories for sure. I paid good money for my hair accessory, so i just can't decide not to wear it - or can i ? Hairstyle changing is suppose to be easily done, but if i change it ... What kind of hairstyle will i have ? And should i try find new hairdresser or is the one i found already good enough ? I feel so confused. I don't want to look silly on my wedding day, i want to look fantastic!

Then i worn my wedding dress last time in November! What if it isn't as good looking on me as i remember it ? What if i will hate it ? What then ?

I think this doubts are because the wedding is getting so close and i know that if i want some changes to be done, i need to make them right now or it will be too late. Who would have guessed that i would want a perfect wedding day ?

Bridezilla time , huh ? :)

Wedding Shoes - Part 1

I never thought that wedding shoes will actually be the most stressing thing in my bridal look! I expected to have huge difficulty in finding a dress, deciding on my hairstyle and flowers. But no, those all went so easily and smooth. And the shoe dilemma came. I actually had couple of shoes in my mind before i went to find a wedding dress and when i fall in love with the wedding dress, and then found out that all the shoes i wanted - had too high heel. I never consider myself very tall only 172 cm ( 5'8" ), so it came as a surprise for me that i can wear shoes not higher than 7 - 7,5 cm ( 3 3/4 inches) with my wedding dress. I don't know about bridal stores in your cities, but here it seems that all the wedding shoes are mostly 8 - 12 cm ( about 3-5 inches ).

So what a bride like me should do ? I do not want to cut my dress shorter and wear flats and i can't add extra inch to my wedding dress...  This bride decided to try find something in the wild wild web :) And i found Minna Parikka white shoes and was so extremely happy as they were said to be about 7,5 cm heel. So i ordered them...

But when they came here i found a huge disappointment.. I actually shouldn't be so surprised as the heel does look kinda high even tho online store said that heel is about 7,5 cm. But when they came i measured the heel and it was actually about 10 cm ( 4 inch ).  I thought i would cry when i measured.. they were so adorable :( But anyway i need to start searching for some other shoes and hope that the heel height will be accurate this time. Honestly I'm little scared that i won't find what i like and in right height :(

This ones i consider now from Brandos

I like this style a lot. I think they would compliment my wedding dress really well. If something critical to say, is that I'm not sure that the fabric and the quality in this shoes will be good. But you won't know if you won't try. Was it so ?

One of the most cute looking shoes I've ever seen! Totally bridal looking, but they are showing toes, and I'm not too happy to show them. But yeah i love this ones !

No so sure about this shoes. There just something that doesn't let me right away to say " Yes those i want!". But as the wedding day coming closer and closer i decided to try be less critical and just try things. Who knows, maybe they will look stunning when i see them life, and they have the best heel height. If i can trust any website and their heel height measurements anymore :)

Not sure about wearing sandals and showing my toes. Then again i think this shoes could definitely wear after the wedding as well, which is an important part in my mind.  The flower "diamond" decoration is really beautiful.

Basic white shoes.

I'm simply in love with this shoes! But i just don't know if they come on time for our wedding.. Aren't they stunning ? <3 American Duchess
